Founded in 1994, the Cambridge University Association of British And Chinese University Students is the original chapter of ABACUS which has spread to universities across the UK; including London (made up of: UAL, Brunel, City, Goldsmiths, ICL, KCL, LSE, Queen Mary, SOAS, & UCL), Kent, Nottingham, Southampton, Surrey,  and Warwick (for information about ABACUS near you, click here).  There is also an Asia-Pacific Society in Oxford.

ABACUS is not just for Chinese students! Our aim is to promote and celebrate Chinese culture in Britain. To this end, ABACUS runs events weekly, with several special events including the Annual Boat Party on the River Thames, Funkyard (the biggest Oriental club-night in Cambridge), and the May Week Garden Party.
